Hi,

What is the proper way to connect a Micastat Pad to a constant monitor so we can tell if the grounding cord has detached? We have the ASK-23014 constant monitors.

Attaching to a Micastat Solder Pad has an additional consideration that the ground snap hardware not protrude beyond the bottom surface of the Solder Pad. That is most users would want the Solder Pad to rest flat on the bench top surface. Unfortunately, Technical Bulletin TB-3058 does not address this problem, nor is there an obvious hardware grounding snap to use. See Grounding Hardware. Any metallic snap could be used that would produce a good electrical connection, including to the middle buried conductive layer, while providing and acceptably flat bottom surface.
