what is the first recorded use of eds straps or of any esp protection? –Anonymous, Northglenn, Colorado

Sorry for getting back to you so late. I don’t have an exact date.....but the general consensus is that bead chains were initially used as one of the first wrist straps in the mid 70’s to help protect the new MOSFET technology that was (and still is) quite susceptible to an ESD.
