Is it safe for me to walk with a dissipative tote and not be grounded.? - Anonymous, Lowell, MA
Answer
Yes, as long as the dissipative tote is completely closed (assuming there are ESD sensitive devices within it) and before opening the tote box you place it on a dissipative grounded surface to bring it to the same potential as the work area and also then wear a grounded wrist strap.
